Where are You

**pastor Joe **gave a spirited message this morning.

He led us through first ten verses of Psalms 139.
1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

So profound when you think about it. I know for myself when in the act of sinful self indulgence the enemy likes kick us in the head after we realize what we just did against God.

God never says that I deserved a kick. He does remind me that my actions separated me from Him. But God never separates us because of our actions.

I seem to hear a faint sound saying “are you finished with that pattern now, I’d like to get on with your amazing future. You know the one I have created for you before you arrived”.

When sin separates us from God. God never separated Himself from us while in sin.
That’s such an important fact to remember.

I recall the other day. I was like “God what is the lesson here, I’m obviously not mentally getting it”. He simply says “Your right where your supposed to be”

Keep in mind I’m splitting hairs here and sharing part of my inner testimony to shed light on the fact that in the past, I never talk to God when I sinned. Now that I serve God, if or when sin comes into my life, we have a conversation about it so that we can look for the root of the pattern.

I was made aware of the circadian pattern that I shouldn’t allow the guilt and shame of sin worry on my conscience, I should repent and give praise and thanks to God immediately spend time and worship in prayer and by all means get out and be love to someone that’s how you tip the scale.

The longer I get from day I maked my decision to serve God, the less and less I spend allowing the enemy to try to kick me in the head. This was such a powerful message today Pastor Joe preached I know I’m not lost and I know that I’m serving God, but those patterns from the old dead man when they show themselves it feels like I’m on a hamster wheel.

God’s just like just get off Son let’s go for a walk together. You don’t have to run on that wheel by yourself.

Most of the time I go “Oh ok that was easy”. It’s the time when I’m running really fast on that wheel and God can’t grab my attention. That’s where the grey area I plead with God about. Show me, teach me, send a message or someone with the exact answer.

I’m well aware of the fact our sanctification is a life long process. We will always strive to be more righteous in Jesus eyes.

Great message pastor Joe. Felt more like a doctors appointment for a checkup today. But hey I needed it. I’m excited for what God has in store for me as I grow into my created value.
