South Point Church in Southaven,MS

What a great Father’s Day service today at South Point.

I frequent a business near this church in my work travels, and I thought, “I wish I were home so I could go to church with my daughter.” Then, as I pulled out of the convenience store, I looked and there it was. A parking lot the size of three football fields surrounding this church center called South Point.

Pastor Craig Wendel delivered the message out of Acts 10. He preached on how Peter had to get out of his comfort zone to grow, as God fed him just enough instruction for his next step. However, his next step would be like the tanners stretching hides out to cure God was stretching Peter into uncharted territory.

He spoke on how going to the tanner’s house was unclean under Jewish law, and how God gave Peter visions showing how both Jews and Gentiles would receive God’s Holy Spirit.

Pastor Craig reminded us, “The Kingdom just got bigger that day.” Then he made the comment, “If God’s not stretching you, you’re in your comfort zone.”

The we ended with the benediction. Thank you pastor Craig for your awesome testimony in your own life and the message challenged me to look for ares I’ve become comfortable with.
