One Founder, 81,000 Commits, Zero Investors
The Texas builder who says he made a “living” AI for $300K
Frisco, Texas
While Silicon Valley labs burn billions on AI, Carter Hill took a different route: no venture capital, no engineering army, and a faith-driven rulebook written into the code itself.
Hill, founder of Day 7 Public Benefit Corporation, says his Genesis platform logged more than 81,000 commits in 245 days. Day 7 reports the work was done by one person working alongside AI, for roughly $300,000. Most startups spend that much in a single quarter on payroll alone.
A system modeled on the human body
Genesis isn’t pitched as a chatbot. Day 7 calls it “Living Intelligence”: a system modeled on the human body, where a knowledge graph of more than 8 million nodes acts as the brain, background processes act as the nervous system, and a 38-axiom constitution serves as its conscience. Every agent is governed by a “Truth Kernel” that blocks any output scoring below its truthfulness threshold.
Putting it to the test
The results, the company says, show up in testing. In July 2026, Day 7 ran Genesis against 2,588 questions from 12 industry benchmarks, including HumanEval, GSM8K, MMLU and TruthfulQA. The full Genesis process scored 86.9%, with its truth-seeking loop adding measurable accuracy on the test built to catch AI repeating falsehoods.
Built on a promise
Hill has been building toward this since 2013, under a principle he calls Truth-in-the-Transaction: deliver more value than you take, with no exploitation. Organizing Day 7 as a public benefit corporation puts that commitment in its legal charter.
Owned, not rented
The next chapter is independence. After losing access to the cloud GPU cluster that powered early development, Hill is moving Genesis onto its own dedicated hardware. That step means the platform will run on machines the company owns, not rents.
“Kingdom principles are not ethical add-ons. They are performance features.” Day 7 Public Benefit Corporation
If the numbers hold up at scale, Genesis could become proof that the next big AI breakthrough doesn’t need a billion dollars, just conviction, discipline, and a founder who never stopped shipping.
