Does God show mercy on the lost at death.

Does God show mercy on the lost at death.

This is a big question as we grow in wisdom and learn of true relationships with Jesus. “Is there grace and mercy for those who were lost”?

Dan Mohler says God comes for the lost not the found. I found that very encouraging.

”For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Although, upon hearing this I suddenly realized my obedience is of the utmost importance. Even more so than I had first realized when making the plunge in baptism and completing my transformation.

The “slippage” or the lax casual drift of disobedience can cause separation even amongst believers. So then I asked wouldn’t that be the territory called “lost”. Looks as though God gave us clear warnings and instructions on that aswell.

“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So it’s clear in two ways. If your lost your Fathers looking for you. If you’re found and disobedient then HE may be with you but the separation could be devastating.

I pray for myself and others to never go astray to always be close to the Father. To always seek HIS guidance in all things and the will to be disciplined to carry out what HE asks. Therefore needing ears to hear. In Jesus Name, Amen.
